Task Description

This task is a portfolio consisting of nine challenges involving MATLAB programming, Simulink modelling, simulation and analysis of engineering systems. Each challenge requires completed tasks, documented simulation results, application of relevant theory and equations, analysis of system behaviour and parameter changes where applicable, and an individual post-lab learning reflection must be written at the end of each challenge (#1–#9).

All challenges (#1–#9) must follow the requirements specified on Page 2, “Requirements at the End of Each Challenge (#1–#9).” Please also refer to Page 3 for the assessment rubric and marking criteria. The complete document will be provided separately. All questions in Challenge #1 to Challenge #9 must be answered. If you have any questions or require clarification regarding the tasks or requirements, please clarify them before proceeding.

Skills Required
Basic MATLAB programming and script development.
Simulink modelling and simulation of engineering systems.
Understanding of control and analogue system concepts, including block diagrams and transfer functions.
Ability to apply relevant mathematical equations and engineering theory.
Simulation result analysis and interpretation, including MATLAB plots and Simulink Scope outputs.
Ability to investigate and explain the effects of parameter changes on system response.
Basic troubleshooting and problem-solving when MATLAB functions, code or Simulink models do not operate as expected.
Technical documentation and reflective writing, particularly for the individual post-lab learning reflection required for each challenge.

Submission Requirements

The final submission should be compiled into a single ZIP file containing the completed portfolio document, supporting screenshots of MATLAB code and simulation results, and all associated MATLAB and Simulink files for Challenge #1 to Challenge #9.

Software Requirements

MATLAB and Simulink are required to complete the progr
